Finally, in 1947, D. C. Grahame transferred the knowledge of the struc ture of electrolyte solutions into the model of a metal/solution interface, by en visaging different planes of closest approach to the electrode surface depending on whether an ion is solvated or interacts directly with the solid wall. Thus, the Gouy-Chapman-Stern-Grahame model of the so-called electrical double layer was born, a model that is still qualitatively accepted, although theoreti cians have introduced a number of new parameters of which people were not aware 50 years ago.

Is there such a thing as "too" minimalistic? That being said, it gave some interesting viewpoints to another perspective on what it means to be minimalistic, and although I don't agree with every aspect of the authors opinion overall it was an enlightening read.

This book is one of the few around that gives a general account on the many Indian filmographies.

Informative without being too much for experts, has information for even the less popular Indian cinema as the one of Assam, it has a good section on South Indian cinema.

It has been very helpful for my study and one of the few valid resources in English.

About the Author
David Brown practices law in the Monterey, California area, where he has represented both landlords and tenants in hundreds of court cases -- most of which he felt could have been avoided if both sides were more fully informed about landlord/tenant law. Brown, a graduate of Stanford University and the University of Santa Clara Law School, also teaches law at the Monterey College of Law and is the author of Fight Your Ticket in California, Beat Your Ticket and others.

Ralph Warner, a pioneer of the do-it-yourself law movement, founded Nolo with Ed Sherman in 1971. He began publishing do-it-yourself law books after numerous publishers rejected them. Warner holds a law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley and an undergraduate degree from Princeton.

Janet Portman specializes in residential and commercial landlord/tenant law. She is the author or coauthor of Every Landlord's Legal Guide, Every Tenant's Legal Guide, Renters' Rights, Leases & Rental Agreements, The California Landlord's Law Book: Rights and Responsibilities and others. Portman received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University and a law degree from Santa Clara University. Before joining Nolo in 1994, she practiced law as a public defender.

Worth every penny! Had to evict a tennat, had all the right forms for the original contract. Helped know the process, was able to have them out in 43 days! CA eviction process is a minefield of mistakes if you don't know what you are doing.

Scam - Do Not Purchase!

I bought this book with the intention of using it to help me answer the end of chapter questions in the Mas-Colell textbook. I also thought that this book would be the perfect way to prepare for a microeconomics exam that I had at University. When the book arrived, I was delighted, but as soon as I opened the book I knew that I was after being fooled. The book is a scam! The questions and answers contained in the book are not like the ones in the Mas-Colell textbook! Nobody should buy this book, it's a scam. Save your money. This book should not even be allowed to be sold on Amazon. There is a question in the book that asks for the name of a famous rapper?! Some pages appear to be the same too, so it was probably created by some computer program or something. Stay away from this book!! I have also read other reviews by people who have bought similar books to this one for courses in Algebra and they have said the same thing - that the book is a scam. You have been warned!

This book will not work for any student trying to approve a decent advance/intermediate microeconomic test.
You can do better using all the free material that is available for free on the internet.

To get you an idea, the book is full of fill the blanks kind of questions, not a single exercise that involve a mathematical reasoning.

If you think this book could be useful to you is because you are enrolled in a MA or PhD program in economics, which usually involve a lot of math.

Don't waste your money.

The Best Book for CEM Training

I've been studying for the CEM exam and started off with the Energy Management Handbook, which proved to be confusing, poor edited, and went way too in depth on edge cases. This book, instead, is much more of an overview, opting to teach the concepts rather than the minutia. If you're studying for the CEM exam, start here. If a particular topic interests you, then read the handbook.

The book to buy is this one: "Guide to Energy Management", by Capehart, Turner and Kennedy. This is "the bible" for the fundamentals of energy management. Like the other reviewer (Anthony Duer), I started with "The Energy Management Handbook", which proved to be a waste of my time and money. It appeared to be a compilation of material from different sources; poorly edited, and disjunct. The "Guide" is the one.

Inspiring and insightful

Digital Art Masters Volume 7 features 50 artists in this 288-page paperback. Each features a project and comes with insightful commentary into the creation process. The categories are Sci-Fi, Scene, Fantasy, Character and Cartoon. The techniques taught are mainly on digital painting and 3D modeling. Software used are Photoshop, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox and others.

It's difficult to pick out any outstanding pieces because they all fantastic. The variety is great. Gilles Beloeil talks about the marketplace he created for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Borislav Kechashki explains how he creates his armor bear with 2D and 3D techniques, and many artists talking about their own way of creating character art.

It's an inspiring and insightful collection. Highly recommended to any digital artist.

A Wide Array of Something-for-Everyone

Digital Art Masters: Volume 7 is a really nice collection of digital art that brings a wide array of styles and techniques together, allowing lots of eye candy. No matter your preference for art, this book will have a lot of material to interest you. Not only is it good to look at, but the art comes with a lot of dialog from the artists. You get to witness their creation of each piece, learn their approach, and pick up a few tips for how to make your own art stand out (if you're the type of person to have your own art).

I love concept art. I love how atmospheric it is. I love the broad, messy brush strokes. I love the story it has to tell as part of its purpose. This book has a lot of it. It also has more polished art that, while awesome, doesn't interest me as much as the concept art. While I would like to see more concept art in this book, I understand that it is not a weakness to have a book as perfectly balanced as this one.

As for the quality of the book, it is impeccable. The print and binding are top-notch. You won't be disappointed with this book. It is pristine, and you'll find yourself wanting to show it off to the people you know. I'm proud to have it in my collection.
